In 2010, the SIT questioned Modi and the SIT submitted a report to the court in which no evidence was found against Modi. In 2012, the SIT submitted its final report to the court asking for the case to be closed. in December 2013,The court rejected the protest petition, accepting the SIT’s report.
790 Muslims and 254 Hindus were killed in this riot.
